My map counts places I've only driven through or flown in and out of. That includes Delaware, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. I think they should count!
I left out D.C. but I've spent many long weekends in D.C.
I don't think "pass thru" should count. I don't see how that qualifies as experiencing a locale.
I could go either way on work-related travel: on the one hand, one gets a taste of a place after work, but for the most part, one remains surrounded by that familiar "corporate culture," assuming one travels to another corporate facility as I did.
I also don't think NYC qualifies as New York (State) but that could be said of most major cities.
Is this relective of visiting only? Or did you fly?

ReplyDeleteIt includes travel as an undergrad engaged in intercollegiate athletics (CT) but not business-related travel (GA and MO).
