BLONDS AT THE BEACH.
Another evening at the beach last night. Low tide was at 10:23PM, so definitely on its way out when we were there. It was perfect except, except, except for the annual lifeguard competition which made things noisier and busier than usual. That event wrapped up around 8PM, so we had about 40 minutes in the surf and quiet before the park closed at dark.
The older boys were happy to romp and race in the gentle surf. The baby eventually got used to the water also but it still scares him. Seeing his older brothers enjoy themselves helped calm him. Jeff went out a ways and took Kenny along. Then Kenny swam back to shore, aided by some waves. Tim was down the shore a ways doing his own game of darting towards the water and scurrying back. I'm just glad that I didn't have to worry about the water overtaking them. There was no chance of that last night, so they experienced more freedom than usual. And as much as they love getting wet and wild, they appreciate settling into warm sweats and blankets for the drive home. The air temperature was just right. Even showers afterwards were not too chilly.

Thank you, thank you very much. I hear that alot but still have trouble seeing it.
My husband delights to reply to people who comment about the boys resembling me,
"She is their mother, I'm sure of that!"
and by his near-rhetorical declaration, leaves the matter hanging just enough for those so inclined to wonder, "Who's their father?!"
He's playfully shrewd.
Entre nous, I was (silently) happy to hear of your "gentleman caller" on another thread.
